The Añejo XO story
Balmoral Añejo XO cigars are the result of an intensive process using exceptionally aged tobaccos: the blend is composed of mainly Dominican tobaccos. The aim here is to produce a cigar that is resolutely more aromatic. The filler is enhanced by Nicaraguan and Brazilian tobaccos. To preserve this spicier structure, the wrapper is also Brazilian, of the sun-grown "Arapiraca" variety, to obtain the greatest aromatic intensity.
Cape: Brazil Arapiraca sun grown Sous-cape: Dominican Republic - Olor Tripe: Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Brazil
CigarShare users' verdict
The Balmoral Añejo XO delivers a consistent chocolate and pepper-forward profile with supporting notes of earth, nuts, and charred wood that create a moderately complex smoke. While the construction is generally reliable with mostly effortless draws and even burns, the flavor profile remains somewhat straightforward without much depth or nuance across sessions.
