The Aksum Claro (formerly Metapa) story
The Aksumite Kingdom was an ancient civilization located in present-day Ethiopia. According to local legend, the Ark of the Covenant was brought to Aksum by Menelik the First, the son of King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba. To this day, one priest guards the Ark his whole life, day and night.
Drawing inspiration from the historic Aksumite Kingdom, this new line showcases a marriage of flavors and artisanal expertise, reflecting Foundation’s dedication to exceptional quality and commitment to honoring the legacy of this revered civilization.

CigarShare users' verdict
The Foundation Aksum Claro delivers a straightforward profile dominated by black pepper and buckwheat notes with consistent spice throughout, though burnt characteristics and charred wood occasionally muddy the experience. Construction is generally solid with reliable draws, though burn performance proves inconsistent across cigars.
