The 10th Anniversary story

In 2013 Pete released the original 6 brown label sizes (Havana Cazadores, Unicos, Noellas, Tainos, Especiales, and Regios in special packaging to celebrate Tatuaje’s 10th anniversary. The cigars were the same blend as the standard release and were produced in Miami. The 10th anniversary cigars, however, featured a closed foot. They were packaged in their standard slide lid box with the addition of a 10th anniversary corner sticker and stamp. The cigars were also wet packed in gold foil. Instead of the standard Tatuaje brown label bands the cigars also featured a special 10th anniversary band that was brown with gold lettering that denoted the 10th anniversary. These specially packaged cigars were only produced in 2013. Additionally, Pete also introduced two new sizes marketed under the 10th anniversary line that are continued to be produced after 2013. They are made of Nicaraguan fillers and binders wrapped in Ecuadorian Habano. The new cigars feature the 10th anniversary bands and are sold in varnished hinged lid boxes of 20. The two new releases are produced in Nicaragua. Belle Encre (perfecto) (gold foil wet packed) (means beautiful ink) 5 3/8 x 48 Bon Chasseur (closed foot) (gold foil wet packed) (means good hunter) 5 3/8 x 52 Belle Encre Reserva (perfecto) (Connecticut Broadleaf wrapped) (released in 2014 in 22 count neoprene wrapped travel humidors) (only 1,994 boxes) (reserva band) (also listed in the Limited Editions/Exclusive Series/Single Store Releases/Misc. section starting on page 62.) 5 3/8 x 48
CigarShare users' verdict

The Tatuaje 10th Anniversary is dominated by pepper and leather notes with supporting earth and natural sweetness, though it frequently suffers from uneven burning and occasionally harsh flavors that can detract from the experience. The draw tends to cooperate, but the construction inconsistency is a notable concern with this line.
