Cojonu 2012
The Cojonu 2012 story
Cojonu 2012 (box pressed) (made in Nicaragua with five different wrappers: Connecticut Broadleaf (reserva); Sumatra (capa especial); and Ecuadorian Habano (habano); Corojo (corojo); San Andres (tuxtla)) (sold in slide lid boxes of 25) (Pete has said that these are merely box pressed versions of the Cojonu 2003 with different wrappers) (the initial release only contained the reserva and capa especial packaged in a box designed to look like a book with 12 of each cigar in each half of the book; only 2,012 boxes were produced) (each cigar has its own special Cojonu band to denote which type of wrapper is on it: Reserva is black with gold lettering; Capa Especial is white with gold lettering; Habano is gold with black lettering; Corojo is red with gold lettering; Tuxtla is green with white lettering) 6 1/2 x 52
The Tatuaje Cojonu 2012 delivers a robust profile anchored by earthy, peppery, and spiced notes complemented by coffee and chocolate undertones, with occasional sweetness from maple and vanilla. While the cigar maintains reliable construction overall, it exhibits some burn inconsistencies that can occasionally distract from its otherwise complex and engaging flavor experience.
