The Gran Cojonu story

Gran Cojonu (closed foot) (made by Pete after several requests that he make a large ring gauge cigar. He felt it was a departure from Cuban tradition and was initially reluctant to produce the cigar.) (made in Miami and wrapped in Ecuadorian Habano) (sold in slide lid boxes of 12) (unbanded) (banded starting in 2017 using a black and gold band similar to the reserve band) 6 1/2 x 60 Gran Cojonu Series A (made to commemorate Pete’s dog Arnold)(sold in similar packaging to the gran cojonu)(possibly a darker shade of wrapper) 5 x 60 Gran Cojonu Wet Wrap (wet packed) These were an exclusive release of the standard Gran Cojonu to Casa de Montecristo in Chicago, IL. The only difference was that they were wet packed in foil. They were supposed to be aged for 2 years prior to being sold. 6 x 60 Gran Cojonu Reserva (released in 2011) (same as the Gran Cojonu except: they feature a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper; they are thought to be produced in Nicaragua; they feature a red, white, and blue band with gold bordering and the PJHC logo in black letters) (only sold in Germany) 6 1/2 x 60 Tatuaje Miami Gran FF (stands for factory fuck-up) (closed foot) These were undersized versions of the Gran Cojonu. They were sold exclusively by NHC. 70 wet packed bundles of 13 were produced. 6 1/2 x 58ish
CigarShare users' verdict

The Gran Cojonut delivers prominent chocolate throughout, complemented by subtle earthiness, mint, and herbal notes that add complexity to the profile. While construction is generally solid with an effortless draw, the burn can be inconsistent and may require attention.
