The La Riqueza story

La Riqueza stands for “the riches.” Introduced, in 2008 they were the first full production cigars from Pete to be wrapped in Connecticut Broadleaf. Pete originally thought of calling his original cigar brand La Riqueza but ultimately decided on Tatuaje in 2003. They carry a band that is similar to the old Cuban Romeo y Julieta. They are a medium bodied cigar with a Nicaraguan binder and filler. They are produced in Nicaragua. They come in half-dress boxes of 10 and cabinets of 25. The cigars in the 10 count boxes are box-pressed. Pete has said in the past that this is an old Cuban brand that he resurrected and used some of the original artwork in the packaging.
CigarShare users' verdict

Tatuaje La Riqueza delivers a complex profile anchored by toasty, earthy notes with prominent leather and mineral undertones, complemented by coffee, pepper, and subtle spice throughout the smoke. Construction is consistently reliable with an effortless to normal draw and generally even burn, though some samples exhibited minor imperfections.
